3. Biography of Ustaad Ishwer Singh
Ishwer Singh was born on March 27, 1982 in Malaer Kotla, Sangrur, Punjab. He has two older brothers and a younger sister.
He was about 10 years old when he first laid his hands on a tabla. He started his formal training about 7 years later, from
a renowned Ustaad in Punjabi Gharana, Ustaad Kulwinder Singh Ji, desciple of Late Ustaad Alla Rakha. He is still learning
from Ustaad Kulwinder Singh Ji.
Ishwer Singh enjoys listening to Classical Instrumental music and his favourite musician is Ustaad Zakir Hussain, son
of the Late Ustaad Alla Rakha. His favourite album is HAZIR, with vocals form Hariharan and Tabla by Zakir Hussain. In his
free time, Ishwer singh enjoys painting and sketching. His favourite painter is Sobha Singh. He also enjoys Comedic Movies.
Ishwer Singh's favourite food is Pizza. His favourite sport is Football/Soccer. His favourite place is Darbar Sahib,
popularly known as the Golden Temple.
